Empty spaces and perfect fluids with homothetic transformation

open access: closedGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 1982
A class of Lorentzian metrics in one variable that admits homothetic transformation is introduced. Solutions of Einstein's empty space equations are presented. The case of perfect fluids is discussed.

D-Homothetic Transforms of φ-Symmetric Spaces

open access: yesMediterranean Journal of Mathematics, 2013
The open problem about the existence of an example of a non-Sasakian strongly locally \(\varphi\)-symmetric space apart from the contact metric \((\kappa,\mu)\)-spaces is considered. At present, the answer is known to be negative for three-dimensional contact metric spaces, left-invariant contact metric structures on Lie groups, strongly pseudoconvex ...

Geometric loci and homothetic transformations

open access: closedInternational Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, 2013
In this paper, we use a property of the centroids to study two general types of geometric loci: one in the plane and one in the space. Then from this result, we examine in detail the case of quadrilaterals and tetrahedra and, in particular, we determine some properties of the nine-point circle of a triangle. The study of those geometric loci is carried

Homothetic transformations with fixed points in spacetime

open access: closedGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 1988
