Homotopy perturbation method with three expansions
Journal of Mathematical Chemistry, 2021The authors suggest the homotopy perturbation method with three expansions to solve nonlinear oscillator problems with damping terms. They solve the Duffing equation with linear damping to explain the homotopy method with three expansions. In addition to the homotopy perturbation method they add the amplitude expanding method. The solutions obtained by

On the approximation of integrals using homotopy perturbation method
International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2010In this paper, an application of the homotoy perturbation method is proposed to approximate integrals that cannot be expressed in terms of analytical functions. This approach rests on the recently developed modification of the homotopy perturbation method.

On the Homotopy Method for Perturbed Symmetric Generalized Eigenvalue Problems
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 1998Eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a definite symmetric matrix pencil are computed by following homotopy paths from a problem with known solution. It is studied how multiple eigenvalues along the path can be handled. A Rayleigh quotient iteration is used in each homotopy step, and the choice of step length is discussed.

The homotopy perturbation method for the Black–Scholes equation
Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 2009The homotopy perturbation method is designed to obtain a quick and accurate solution to the Black–Scholes equation and boundary conditions for a European option pricing problem. The problem of pricing a European option can be cast a partial differential equation.

On two new applications of the homotopy analysis method and the homotopy perturbation method
Physica Scripta, 2010We discuss two recent applications of the homotopy analysis method and the homotopy perturbation method and conclude that the results are of no physical or mathematical utility at all.

Application of the homotopy perturbation method for the Fokker–Planck equation
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, 2010AbstractIn this paper, we will discuss the solution of an initial value problem of parabolic type. The main objective is to propose an alternative method of solution, one not based on finite difference or finite element or spectral methods. The aim of the present paper is to investigate the application of the Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for ...
