Purpose To examine the relationship between elbow valgus torque during pitching and the occurrence of medial elbow injuries in young baseball pitchers prospectively. Methods Between 2019 and 2023, 361 male pitchers aged 9 to 12 years were enrolled. Pitchers with a history of elbow injury or who had not served as pitchers in baseball games for ≥1 year ...

Pharmaceuticals Made with Hydrogen: A Sustainable and Efficient Approach Using Flow Synthesis
We demonstrate a sustainable strategy for pharmaceutical manufacturing by combining hydrogen, heterogeneous catalysis, and continuous flow synthesis. The development of novel catalysts and their application in a multi‐step synthesis of donepezil enabled a highly productive process with no intermediate purification.

Measurement of local creep properties in stainless steel welds [PDF]
A high temperature measurement system for creep deformation based on the digital image correlation (DIC) technique is described. The new system is applied to study the behaviour of a multi-pass welded joint in a high temperature tensile test and a load ...

Extremely high room-temperature two-dimensional hole gas mobility in Ge/Si0.33Ge0.67/Si(001) p-type modulation-doped heterostructures [PDF]
To extract the room-temperature drift mobility and sheet carrier density of two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) that form in Ge strained channels of various thicknesses in Ge/Si0.33Ge0.67/Si(001) p-type modulation-doped heterostructures, the magnetic field ...

Dried biofluid droplet morphologies for automated and scalable disease classification
For the first time, disease‐specific fingerprints of diabetes and influenza are revealed from dried biofluid droplet morphologies. Using automated droplet detection, texture analysis, and interpretable machine learning, this scalable workflow transforms endpoint droplet patterns into diagnostic biomarkers for point‐of‐care healthcare applications ...

A quantum protocol to win the graph colouring game on all Hadamard graphs
This paper deals with graph colouring games, an example of pseudo-telepathy, in which two provers can convince a verifier that a graph $G$ is $c$-colourable where $c$ is less than the chromatic number of the graph.

ABSTRACT Deforestation and its social impacts are an enduring challenge in agrarian frontiers, especially in the tropics. Fueled by global demand for commodities, this process is mediated by ideas, concepts, meanings, and policies that uphold socioenvironmental degradation. A key and understudied—arena in which this mediation occurs is the sub‐national
