Introduction: Ain’t It Evil to Live Backwards? : A Hip Hop Perspective of Religion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Historically, Black religion has been the cornerstone of the African experience in America. Due to the peculiar institution” of slavery and the ways this institutional residue still affect the lives of slave descendants, Hip Hop provides a forum to ...

Stacking‐Engineered Magnonic Topology and Transport in Honeycomb Homobilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Topological magnons have emerged as a promising platform for dissipationless bosonic transport. However, a straightforward and effective strategy to engineer such topological states in real materials has yet to be fully realized. Here, a general scheme for controlling magnonic topological states via stacking engineering in van der Waals ...

EVALUATION OF GENETIC VARIABILITY WITHIN SWEET CHERRY (Prunus avium L.) GENETIC RESOURCES BY MOLECULAR SSR MARKERS

open access: yesActa Scientiarum Polonorum: Hortorum Cultus, 2019
Sweet cherry is a vegetatively propagated, perennial plant with high level of heterozygosity and ancient breeding history. Therefore, it is necessary to keep, conserve and evaluate known genetic resources for fu- ture breeding programs and fruit ...

1-D Coordinate Based on Local Information for MAC and Routing Issues in WSNs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
More and more critical Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) applications are emerging. Those applications need reliability and respect of time constraints. The underlying mechanisms such as MAC and routing must handle such requirements.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Compounds of essential oils as markers of hop resistance (Humulus lupulus) to powdery mildew (Podosphaera macularis)

open access: yesActa Agriculturae Slovenica, 2009
Field assessments of resistance to powdery mildew of 103 hop cultivars, analyses of hop essential oil and correlation between the score for powdery mildew and the relative percentage of essential oil compounds were performed over three years.

Electric Field‐Dependent Conductivity as Probe for Charge Carrier Delocalization and Morphology in Organic Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Applying a high electric field to a doped organic semiconductor heats up the charge carrier distribution beyond the lattice temperature, enhancing conductivity. It is shown that the associated effective temperature can be used to extract the effective localization length, which is a characteristic length scale of charge transport and provides ...
