Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Variability and stability of essential oil composition in Ukrainian hop varieties
The aim of the study was to evaluate the variation in essential oil content and composition within nine distinct Ukrainian hop varieties, with a particular focus on their genetic stability and suitability for brewing applications over 11 years of their cultivation. The hydrodistillation method (Analytica-EBC 7.10) was used to evaluate hop essential oil

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

DIFFERENCES IN UTILISATION OF THE ESSENTIAL OIL OF HOPS DURING THE PRODUCTION OF DRY-HOPPED AND LATE-HOPPED BEERS [PDF]
Late-hopped and dry-hopped beers were prepared and their lipophilic constituents extracted using Amberlite XAD-2 resin. Examination of the volatile constituents by GC-MS confirmed that most of the hop oil added towards the end of wort boiling is lost by evaporation.

The Regulatory Role of Iron Transporter SLC39A13 in Liver Fibrosis
SLC39A13/ZIP13, a newly discovered intracellular iron transporter, delivers iron to the ER/Golgi to catalyze procollagen hydroxylation during collagen maturation. Here, we systematically characterize the cell type‐specific functions of ZIP13 across distinct hepatic cell populations, and identify hepatic stellate cell‐specific ZIP13 as a promising and ...
