Dynamical horizons and supertranslation transitions of the horizon [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2021
A condition is defined which determines if a supertranslation is induced in the course of a general evolution from one isolated horizon phase to another via a dynamical horizon. This condition fixes preferred slices on an isolated horizon and is preserved along an Isolated Horizon.

KILLING HORIZONS KILL HORIZON DEGREES [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2006
Frequently, it is argued that the microstates responsible for the Bekenstein–Hawking entropy should arise from some physical degrees of freedom located near or on the black hole horizon. In this essay, we elucidate that instead entropy may emerge from the conversion of physical degrees of freedom, attached to a generic boundary, into unobservable ...

Is Profit Horizon suggested by any VIP?

open access: yes, 2021
Profit Horizon the point when we explored the Profit Horizon stage we saw that a few group with a known name of the larger part were profiting with the utilization of this kind of programming. Be that as it may, do they truly utilize the stage?

Isolated horizon, Killing horizon and event horizon [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2001
We consider space-times which in addition to admitting an isolated horizon also admit Killing horizons with or without an event horizon. We show that an isolated horizon is a Killing horizon provided either (1) it admits a stationary neighbourhood or (2) it admits a neighbourhood with two independent, commuting Killing vectors.

Horizon and curvature

open access: yesAnnals of the Academy of Romanian Scientists Series on Mathematics and Its Application, 2023
This short paper is devoted to a strange looking question: is it possible to deduce the shape of a smooth convex set by measuring at each point the distance of the horizon standing at a fixed height h? The question is surprisingly difficult and we only have partial results.

INCOMPLETE MARKETS IN INFINITE HORIZON: DEBT CONSTRAINTS VERSUS NODE PRICES [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The general equilibrium model with incomplete markets is here extended to infinite horizon economies populated by a finite number of infinitely lived agents.

Uniqueness of near-horizon geometries of rotating extremal AdS(4) black holes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider stationary extremal black hole solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations with a negative cosmological constant in four dimensions. We determine all non-static axisymmetric near-horizon geometries and all static near-horizon geometries for ...

First M87 Event Horizon Telescope Results. IX. Detection of Near-horizon Circular Polarization

open access: yes, 2023
Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) observations have revealed a bright ring of emission around the supermassive black hole at the center of the M87 galaxy. EHT images in linear polarization have further identified a coherent spiral pattern around the black ...

An Indian View of an Indian View: Durrell’s India

open access: yesÉtudes Britanniques Contemporaines, 2011
Lawrence Durrell’s India connection has always been made much of. After all, he was born in India. Durrell even had parents who were both born in India, too, and spoke Hindi and Urdu. He nostalgically spoke about India all his life. He wrote a great deal
