Physical Review D, 2021 A condition is defined which determines if a supertranslation is induced in the course of a general evolution from one isolated horizon phase to another via a dynamical horizon. This condition fixes preferred slices on an isolated horizon and is preserved along an Isolated Horizon.

Isolated horizon, Killing horizon and event horizon [PDF]
Classical and Quantum Gravity, 2001 We consider space-times which in addition to admitting an isolated horizon also admit Killing horizons with or without an event horizon. We show that an isolated horizon is a Killing horizon provided either (1) it admits a stationary neighbourhood or (2) it admits a neighbourhood with two independent, commuting Killing vectors.
