Nomogram prediction model for pneumonia after valve replacement in patients with heart valve disease
BackgroundPatients with heart valve disease (VHD) combined with pulmonary hypertension (PH) have a higher risk for hospital-acquired pneumonia. We aimed to analyze the risk factors and construct a valid nomogram model for predicting hospital-acquired ...

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum GUANKE remodels the indigenous gut microbiota and is associated with microbiota‐dependent restoration of circulating IAA. IAA treatment attenuates JAK3‐STAT3 and Jag1‐Notch4‐Hey1 signaling and reduces CX3CR1+Ly6C− monocytic precursor generation and pulmonary CD11b+ DC accumulation, together with reduced Th2 inflammation ...

Inadequate Empirical Antibiotic Therapy in Hospital Acquired Pneumonia
Introduction: Inadequate empirical antibiotic therapy for HAP is a common phenomena and one of the indicators of the poor stewardship. This study intended to analyze the efficacy of empirical antibiotics in the light of microbiological data in HAP cases.

This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Engineered macrophages programmed in situ by LNP‐delivered IL‐6/4 fusion and LL37 mRNAs simultaneously dampen cytokine storm, promote M2‐like repair, and enhance direct bacterial killing in sepsis. This combinatorial strategy restores T cell and macrophage function, lowers organ bacterial burden, and improves survival, highlighting a precision, host ...

This bioinspired acinus‐on‐a‐chip recapitulates VILI pathology, revealing that volutrauma drives P53/NF‐κB pathways while barotrauma triggers mitochondrial‐Wnt dysregulation. A fibrotic transitional cell cluster was identified. Pharmacological interventions targeting these pathways significantly ameliorated injury, establishing a mechanobiological ...

One‐Step Immobilized Phage Depolymerase Coatings for Catheter‐Related Bloodstream Infections
Catheter‐related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) caused by drug‐resistant Gram‐negative bacteria remain a major clinical challenge. Here, a polydopamine‐assisted depolymerase coating degrades bacterial capsules and restores serum‐mediated killing, effectively suppressing biofilms and reducing bacterial burden in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo, presenting a
