After IAV infection, NS1 induces PARP1 phase transition, reducing molecular mobility in condensates, prolonging host transcriptional pause, aiding RdRp cap snatching, and promoting viral transcription. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV) commandeers host transcriptional machinery to replicate, but mechanisms remain elusive.

LAPTM5 functions as a critical molecular scaffold bridging PGAM5 and VAMP to facilitate PGAM5‐mediated dephosphorylation of VAMP8. This cascade promotes autophagosome‐lysosome fusion, restores impaired autophagic flux, and clears damaged mitochondria, thereby mitigating cellular oxidative stress and systemic inflammation.

Postoperative infectious complications (PICs) have been associated with poor long‐term outcomes after colorectal cancer surgery, but evidence in the modern minimally invasive era remains limited. In this multicenter cohort of 5377 patients undergoing curative resection, PICs were independently associated with worse overall survival and relapse‐free ...

Current Status and Future Perspectives of Robotic Surgery for Esophagogastric Cancer in Asia
ABSTRACT Robotic‐assisted surgery (RAS) has moved from an experimental adjunct to an increasingly established component of gastrointestinal (GI) oncological practice in parts of Asia, a region that carries a disproportionately high burden of gastric and esophageal cancer. Asian surgeons have been among the earliest and most prolific contributors to the

Comparison of CATs, CURB-65 and PMEWS as triage tools in pandemic influenza admissions to UK hospitals: case control analysis using retrospective data [PDF]
Triage tools have an important role in pandemics to identify those most likely to benefit from higher levels of care. We compared Community Assessment Tools (CATs), the CURB-65 score, and the Pandemic Medical Early Warning Score (PMEWS); to predict ...

ABSTRACT Posttransplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) to prevent graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD) improves outcomes in recipients of HLA mismatched unrelated donor (MMUD) allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo HCT). Outcomes of MMUD HCT using PTCy in patients requiring reduced intensity or non‐myeloablative conditioning (RIC/NMA) are not well ...

Pneumonia acquired during hospitalization is called nosocomial pneumonia (NP). Nosocomial pneumonia is divided into two types. Hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) refers to hospital-acquired pneumonia, whereas ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) refers to ventilator-associated pneumonia. Most clinical literature stresses VAP’s importance and associated
