Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.

Host-Parasite Interactions and Population Dynamics of Rock Ptarmigan.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Populations of rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in Iceland fluctuate in multiannual cycles with peak numbers c. every 10 years. We studied the ptarmigan-parasite community and how parasites relate to ptarmigan age, body condition, and population density. We

Modeling and Validation of Environmental Suitability for Schistosomiasis Transmission Using Remote Sensing. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, 2015
BACKGROUND:Schistosomiasis is the most widespread water-based disease in sub-Saharan Africa. Transmission is governed by the spatial distribution of specific freshwater snails that act as intermediate hosts and human water contact patterns.

Photodoping in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells With MXenes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrafast tandem spectroscopy and DFT modeling reveal the separate dynamics and the imbalance of electrons and holes in wide bandgap perovskite solar cells with MXene incorporation. The enhanced photoconversion performances of the devices are traced to photodoping, with selective hole trapping and suppressed recombination of electrons.

Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...
