A Closed‐Loop Framework for Inverse Design: Dynamic Training and Intelligent Optimization for Heterostructured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
To accelerate the inverse design of heterostructured metal matrix composites, a closed‐loop scientific machine learning framework integrates continual learning prediction with NSGA‐II‐PMCP optimization. The framework maps microstructural descriptors to strength, toughness, and modulus, expands high‐quality Pareto solutions, and guides experimentally ...

Optimization of Production Process Parameters and Anti‐Cracking Mechanism of Plant‐Mixed Hot Recycling Asphalt Mixture Through SCB‐DIC Testing

open access: yesApplied Research, Volume 5, Issue 5, October 2026.
Mixed‐level orthogonal experiments and SCB‐DIC testing were conducted to evaluate the effects of six production parameters on the anti‐cracking performance of plant‐mixed hot recycled asphalt mixtures. Cracking evolution was characterized using FI, CIE, and ECR.

Designing γ‐TiAl Alloys With Refined Twin‐Lamellar Microstructures via Machine Learning‐Driven Phase‐Field Methods

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, Volume 4, Issue 4, October 2026.
Dual‐phase γ‐TiAl alloys with refined twin‐lamellar (RTL) structures exhibit optimal strength‐ductility synergy. Here, phase‐field simulations reveal composition‐stress‐dependent refined twin‐lamellar (RTL) microstructure evolution. Machine learning (CatBoost + NSGA‐III) trained on phase‐field images predicts optimal RTL‐stress‐composition design space.

Laser‐Generated CuPdAgPtAu High‐Entropy Alloy Nanoparticles—Thermal Segregation Threshold and Elemental Segregation

open access: yesParticle &Particle Systems Characterization, Volume 43, Issue 10, October 2026.
Noble metal (CuxPdyAgzPtyAuy) high‐entropy alloy nanoparticles synthesized via laser ablation in liquid are characterized by advanced (S)TEM, XRD, and atomistic simulations. Rapid quenching during laser ablation suppresses thermodynamically driven segregation and stabilizes metastable solid solutions under kinetic control.
