Simulation of a Nanolink Hot-Plate Device
In this work, a miniaturized hotplate device with a low power consumption of a few milliwatts and a CMOS compatible fabrication process is proposed and analyzed. This micro hotplate is based on a nanoscopic conductive link (Ø 10- 100 nm) created between two electrodes separated by a SiO2 layer and can be used as chemical sensor and actuator.

Transparent, electrically conductive In–Zn–O thin films are solution‐processed by spin coating, inkjet printing, and, as demonstrated here for the first time, screen printing. The chosen deposition technique determines the solution composition, which in turn governs the resulting microstructure and optoelectronic performance.

Electric‐field‐assisted spin coating is introduced as a wet‐film processing route for guiding perovskite crystallization. A transient perpendicular field produces distinct structural maxima rather than monotonic grain growth: largest scanning electron microscopy (SEM)‐derived grain size at nominal 2 kV cm−1${\rm cm}^{-1}$, largest X‐ray diffraction ...

Helicity‐dependent all‐optical magnetization switching was demonstrated for the Bi‐ and Ga‐substituted rare‐earth (R) iron garnet crystal thin films (Bi,Ga:RIG; R = Eu3+, Nd3+, and Y3+). The efficiency followed the order EIG > NIG > YIG. These results show the correlation between 4f orbital moment (4f〈L〉) of R3+ and helicity‐dependent optical ...

Residual tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) from ZnO nanoparticle (NP) synthesis is uncovered as a hidden impurity that migrates into quantum dot emissive layers during thermal processing. The resulting exciton quenching reduces the efficiency of quantum dot light‐emitting diodes despite improved electron transport upon annealing.

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.

Edible robotics is an emerging field that leverages edible materials to construct robotic systems. This study presents a method to create thin, lightweight, yet powerful edible soft actuators, namely edible pouch motors. The successful operation of these edible actuators and grippers renders their potential to advance future developments in edible ...

Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a
