Hot Deformation and Processing Map of C919 Aluminum Alloy

Materials Science Forum, 2015
The hot deformation behaviors of Aluminum alloy C919 were studied in the present investigation. The hot compression tests for C919 were carried out in the temperature range of 350°C~470°C and strain rates range of 0.001s-1~1s-1 using GLEEBLE-1500 thermal simulate testing machine. Optical microscopy (OM) was used for the microstructure characterization.

Hot deformation and processing maps of Al18B4O33w/ZK60 composite

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2008
The hot deformation behavior of ZK60 magnesium alloy reinforced with 20 vol.% of Al18B4O33 whisker has been studied by employing both processing maps and microstructural observations. The material of investigation was deformed by compression in the temperature range of T = 523–723 K and strain rate range of e˙=0.001−10s−1.

Hot working characteristics of Zr-2.5Nb using processing maps

Materials Science and Technology, 1998
AbstractA simple condition for metallurgical stability in processing maps is proposed. The applicability of the stability criterion has been verified using test data ofZr-2.5Nb (wt-%) alloy with an equiaxed (α + β) preform microstructure.

Hot deformation behavior and process parameter optimization of Ti22Al25Nb using processing map

Rare Metals, 2015
Abstract The hot deformation behavior of Ti22Al25Nb was investigated by hot compression test. The flow stress–strain curves can be divided into two types: conventional dynamic recrystallization (DRX) and discontinuous DRX. The different softening mechanism and microstructure observation of conventional DRX and discontinuous DRX were ...

Hot Processing Maps and Workability Characteristics of As-Cast 42CrMo Steel during Hot Compression

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
In order to investigate the thermal forming behavior of as-cast 42CrMo steel, the isothermal compression tests were performed on a Gleeble-1500D thermal mechanical simulator in the deformation temperature ranging from 850 to 1150°C with an interval of 100°C, the strain rate ranging from 0.05 to 5s-1 and the height reduction of 60%.

Processing map for the hot working of Ti-8Ta-3Nb

Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2008
This paper considers the deformation behavior during hot forging in as-cast and forged specimens of Ti-8Ta-3Nb. The experimental specimens are as-cast and forged specimens of Ti-8Ta-3Nb. The deformation behavior of Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy has been characterized on the basis of its flow stress variation obtained by true strain rate compression testing in the ...

Processing Map and Hot Working Characteristics of Zircaloy-2

1991
The constitutive flow behavior of Zircaloy-2 in the temperature range of 650 to 850°C and strain rate range of 0.001 to 100 s-1 has been studied using constant true strain rate hot compression tests. On the basis of these data, a processing map has been generated using the concepts of a Dynamic Material Model.
