A liquid‐crystalline bismaleimide vitrimer integrates local mesogenic organization with exchange‐active ester connectivity, achieving a glass‐transition temperature near 300°C while remaining reprocessable. Stress‐relaxation analysis and temperature‐dependent remolding reveal how segmental mobility, network rearrangement, and structural integrity ...

The physical model of hot tearing based on formation of microporosity in aluminum alloys
During thermal crack formation, micropores were observed in most castings, and many cracks originating from these micropores. Therefore, based on the microporous model of aluminum alloy, a physical model for hot tearing formation was established.

Acetoacetates Derived From Vegetable Oils: A Platform for Tailor‐Made Vinylogous Urethane Foams
A renewable vegetable oil is converted into acetoacetate‐functionalized precursors for the preparation of catalyst‐free vinylogous urethane foams. Room‐temperature foaming with n‐pentane generates lightweight cellular materials, while the choice of amine enables control over foam structure and mechanical properties.

In Situ Magnetic Ordering and Microfabrication of Liquid Crystal Networks with Discretized Alignment
Miniaturizing liquid crystal network actuators typically demands costly laser writing or digital light processing. A low‐cost photolithography platform couples rotating photomasks with a Halbach magnetic array to discretize in‐plane molecular alignment down to 50 µm, producing programmable, light‐responsive grippers, checkerboards, and origami‐inspired

Forward‐Biased Perovskite Photodiodes for In‐Sensor Optical Change Sensing
A forward‐biased perovskite photodiode is introduced as an in‐sensor analog preprocessing unit that uses current balancing between photocurrent and injection current to generate optical changes relative to programmable optical reference levels. The device directly converts reference‐relative optical changes into bipolar current signals, enabling sensor‐

STUDY AND MODELING OF HOT TEARING FORMATION [PDF]
As for most of the topics in the field of solidification, Mert Flemings has always pioneered new ideas. While much of the understanding of hot tearing formation was already known about 30 years ago, he devised with Metz an interesting apparatus for ...

Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...
