Temperature induced alignment in hot rotating nuclei
Employing a cranking Hamiltonian, in the static path approximation to the partition function, we have studied the behaviour of the moment of inertia of $^{64}Zn$ at a few values of temperatures as a function of the rotation frequency. At a low temperature T = 0.5 MeV and J=16 rotational alignment of $0g_{9/2}$ orbitals takes place.

Infrared spectral energy distribution decomposition of WISE-selected, hyperluminous hot dust-obscured galaxies [PDF]
We utilize a Bayesian approach to fit the observed mid-IR-to-submm/mm spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of 22 WISE-selected and submm-detected, hyperluminous hot dust-obscured galaxies. By adopting the Torus+GB model, we decompose the observed IR SEDs of Hot DOGs into torus and cold dust components.

Decaying Sterile Neutrinos as a Heating Source in the Milky Way Center
Recent Chandra and Newton observations indicate that there are two-temperature components ($T \sim$ 8 keV, 0.8 keV) of the diffuse x-rays emitted from deep inside the center of Milky Way.

Effective Temperature for Poultry and Pigs in Hot Climate [PDF]
Existing knowledge on the relative significance of air temperature, humidity, and velocity in a hot environment for housed pigs and poultry is reviewed and synthesized in an effective temperature (ET) equation. The suggested unit has an easily perceivable scale where ET is equal to air temperature if the relative humidity is 50% and the air velocity is

Effects of dissociation/recombination on the day-night temperature contrasts of ultra-hot Jupiters [PDF]
Secondary eclipse observations of ultra-hot Jupiters have found evidence that hydrogen is dissociated on their daysides. Additionally, full-phase light curve observations of ultra-hot Jupiters show a smaller day-night emitted flux contrast than that expected from previous theory.

Lyman alpha systems within hot galactic halos [PDF]
A hot gas halo is predicted by chemodynamical models during the early evolution of spheroidal galaxies. Cold condensations, arising from thermal instabilities in the hot gas, are expected to be embedded in the hot halo. In the early phases of the galaxy (t < 1 Gyr), a strong X-ray and EUV emission is produced by the extended hot gas distribution ...

Effects of temperature ratio on JET transport in hot ion and hot electron regimes
Two series of JET shots, one on hot ion shots and one on hot electron shots, have been analysed in order to improve the understanding of how the temperature ratio Te/Ti influences the performance. Comparisons are also made with ITER simulations which are in the hot electron regime.

Dataset of high temperature extremes over the major land areas of the Belt and Road for 1979-2018
Hot temperature extremes exert strong negative socioeconomic and environmental impacts worldwide. In this paper, we focus on the major land areas of the Belt and Road (BR) and develop a dataset of high temperature extremes including hot days, hot nights ...
