On the rotating, slanted, hot-wire technique
Experiments in Fluids, 1991The purpose of this paper is to convey information and experience gained in the use of a rotating slanted hot-wire probe to measure the complete Reynolds stress tensor and the mean velocity vector. The technique is limited to nearly one-dimensional flows with turbulence intensities less than 10%.

A hot-wire measurement technique for complex turbulent flows
1st National Fluid Dynamics Conference, 1988A hot-wire technique is described which can be used to measure all three components of the local mean velocity vector and all six components of the Reynolds stress tensor in a low-intensity turbulent flow which is arbitrarily skewed in pitch and yaw by as much as 30 degrees.

Advances on the hot wire technique
