A Different Perspective on the Solid Lubrication Performance of Black Phosphorous: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Researchers investigate black phosphorous (BP) as a standalone solid lubricant coating through ball‐on‐disc linear‐reciprocating sliding experiments in dry conditions. Testing on different metals shows BP doesn't universally reduce friction and wear. However, it achieves 33% friction reduction on rougher iron surfaces and 23% wear reduction on aluminum.

A comparative study on the hot flow stress of Mg–Al–Zn magnesium alloys using a simple physically-based approach

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys, 2014
A comparative study was carried out on the hot flow stress of AZ31, AZ61, and AZ91 magnesium alloys. Their hot working behaviors were studied through constitutive analysis based on a simple physically-based approach which accounts for the dependence of ...

Comment on: "Sadi Carnot on Carnot's theorem"

open access: yes, 2003
Carnot established in 1824 that the efficiency $\eta_{C}$ of reversible engines operating between a hot bath at absolute temperature $T_{hot}$ and a cold bath at temperature $T_{cold}$ is equal to $1-T_{cold}/T_{hot}$.

Hubungan Antara Tingkat Kedisiplinan Penggunaan Apd Dengan Tingkat Risiko Gangguan Kesehatan Pada Karyawan Terpapar Iklim Kerja Panas Di Bagian Workshop Pt. Indo Acidatama Tbk, Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The risk of health problems in employees exposed to the hot working climate is a danger that impact on employee health conditions caused by exposure to hot working climate. In carrying out the production process, the workers at the workshop PT.

Analysis of Temperature and Stress Distribution on the Bond Properties of Hybrid Tailored Formed Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Hybrid materials enable high‐performance components but are challenging to process. This study explores an inductive heating concept with spray cooling for steel–aluminum specimens in a two‐step process including friction welding and cup backward extrusion.

Work hardening and X-ray diffraction studies on ASS 304 at high temperatures

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes
One of the most common characteristics of metallic alloys is work hardening, which is most beneficial as it is the primary reason for the alloys’ tenacity to withstand loading even in the presence of internal flaws or geometrical errors.

Two new mathematical models to predict the flow stress at hot deformation

open access: yes, 2014
Based on both linear and non-linear estimations of work hardening rate versus strain curves, two mathematical models have been developed to predict the flow curves under hot working conditions up to the peak.

Perbedaan Kelelahan Kerja Yang Terpapar Iklim Kerja Panas Pada Pekerja Bagian Pengecekan Dan Perbaikan Di Pt. Kereta Api Daerah Operasi VI Yogyakarta Dipo Kereta Api Solo Balapan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The hot temperature is a factor of work environment which is closely related to the workers’ health. The excessive heat of work environment will result in the increase in the body temperature.
