Light‐Induced Field‐Tunneling Synapses in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Scalable, Retina‐Inspired Optical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable, solution‐processed WSe2/ZrO2‐x van der Waals heterostructure realizes a light‐induced field‐tunneling synapse (LIFTS) that activates exclusively under bright illumination, emulating the photopic adaptation of the human retina at the device level.

Time-frequency Analysis of Multicomponent LFM signal based on Hough and Chirplet Transform

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The Chirplet Transform (CT) is effective in the characterization of IF for mono-component linear-frequency-modulated signal. However, During the initialization process, using the peak of the time-frequency map of the short-time Fourier transform to fit ...

Coal-rock interface identification scheme based on Hough transform

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2015
A coal-rock interface identification scheme based on Hough transform was proposed according to characteristic of coal-rock image, namely boundary between coal seam and rock seam is significant and linear.

Representing Directions for Hough Transforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Many algorithms in computer vision operate with directions, i. e. with representations of 3D-points by ignoring their distance to the origin. Even though minimal parametrizations of directions may contain singularities, they can enhance convergence in optimization algorithms and are required e. g. for accumulator spaces in Hough transforms.

High‐Throughput Mechanical Rupture of Nuclear Envelope and the Intracellular Dynamics of Massive Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A microfluidic device with monolithically integrated nanostructures enables high‐throughput wounding of the cell membrane and nuclear envelope. The spatial distribution of charged multivesicular body protein 4B (CHMP4B) within the cell is mapped before and after wounding, showing involvement in repair of both the cell membrane and nuclear envelope ...

AERIAL IMAGERY AND LIDAR DATA FUSION FOR UNAMBIGUOUS EXTRACTION OF ADJACENT LEVEL-BUILDINGS’ FOOTPRINTS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2017
Our paper aims to present a new approach to identify and extract building footprints using aerial images and LiDAR data. Employing an edge detector algorithm, our method first extracts the outer boundary of buildings, and then by taking advantage of ...

A Novel Gradient-Weighted Voting Approach for Classical and Fuzzy Circular Hough Transforms and Their Application in Medical Image Analysis—Case Study: Colonoscopy

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Classical circular Hough transform was proven to be effective for some types of colorectal polyps. However, the polyps are very rarely perfectly circular, so some tolerance is needed, that can be ensured by applying fuzzy Hough transform instead of the ...

An algebraic approach to Hough transforms

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2012
The main purpose of this paper is to lay the foundations of a general theory which encompasses the features of the classical Hough transform and extend them to general algebraic objects such as affine schemes. The main motivation comes from problems of detection of special shapes in medical and astronomical images.
