On the Sensitivity of the Hough Transform for Object Recognition
A common method for finding an object's pose is the generalized Hough transform, which accumulates evidence for possible coordinate transformations in a parameter space and takes large clusters of similar transformations as evidence of a correct ...

The intersective Hough transform for geophysical applications
La transformada de Hough es una herramienta ampliamente utilizada para identificación de alineamientos, pero el método de votación utilizado usualmente en esta transformada presenta serios problemas cuando las alineaciones no son exactas.

Dynamics and thermodynamics of the fast and slow Madden–Julian Oscillation
The results of this study highlight the MJO as a complex phenomenon, the behavior of which is driven by an interplay of thermodynamic and dynamic processes. The MJO's distinct speeds are controlled by different mechanisms: slow MJOs propagate eastward primarily via horizontal moisture advection, fast MJOs by vertical moisture advection.

Image processing and agent-based framework for the geolocation of emitters [PDF]
The research presented in this thesis is about a task of geolocation of radio frequency emitters. In this research the problem of geolocation of non-collaborative emitter was addressed.

This study highlights the utility of charge detection mass spectrometry (CDMS) as a high‐throughput nanoparticle characterization tool. CDMS measurements of 200 nm polystyrene size standards are within 1% of those derived from transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Notably, a mixture of three ∼200 nm samples is readily resolved by CDMS but not by TEM,

The Coherent Circle Hough Transform [PDF]
We introduce a novel formulation of the Circle Hough Transform that we call the Coherent Circle Hough Transform. The technique uses phase to code for radii of circles. The usual simplifications of the Circle Hough Transform (CHT) are used in which lines pointing away from edge points are plotted rather than circles.

YOLO‐GDCNN: Real‐Time Operating Point Detection for Live Working Robots in the Power Industry
ABSTRACT In the power industry maintenance, the capability of live working robots to detect and operate with power components in real time is paramount. This paper proposes a cascaded detection framework for real‐time detection of live working operation points, named YOLO‐GDCNN. The framework consists of two parts.
