Influence of Zn2+ and Oxygen Supply on Malic Acid Production and Growth of Aspergillus oryzae

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Malic acid is a valuable platform chemical traditionally derived from fossil‐based resources. Microbial cultivation with Aspergillus oryzae offers a sustainable alternative based on renewable feedstocks. In this study, a well‐established minimal medium for malic acid production, commonly used in previous research to ensure reproducibility, was

Determination of CMPO using HPLC–UV

Journal of Chromatography A, 2012
Octyl(phenyl)-N,N-diisobutylcarbamoylmethylphosphine oxide (CMPO) is an extractant proposed for selective separation of radionuclide metals from used nuclear fuel solutions using solvent extraction. Radiolysis reactions can degrade CMPO and reduce separation performance and hence methods for measuring the concentration of CMPO are needed.

Determination of deoxynivalenol in cereals by HPLC-UV

Mycotoxin Research, 2003
A simple method for determination of deoxynivalenol (DON) in cereal samples is described. DON was extracted with methanol, the solvent evaporated, and the residue redissolved with water. This extract was purified on immunoaffinity columns. DON was determined by HPLC with UV-detection.

Quality evaluation of Carthami Flos by HPLC–UV

Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2014
A HPLC-DAD method was developed for simultaneous determination of four marker compounds, kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, safflomin A, safflomin B and bidenoside C, in the extract of the flowers of Carthamus tinctorius Linne. Natural samples were extracted in 50% aqueous methanol by ultra-sonication for 60 min. Marker compounds were separated on a C18 column

Quantitative determination of rhamnolipid using HPLC‐UV through carboxyl labeling

Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, 2023
AbstractRhamnolipid, as a low‐toxic, biodegradable and environmentally friendly biosurfactant, has broad application prospects in many industries. However, the quantitative determination of rhamnolipid is still a challenging task. Here, a new sensitive method for the quantitative analysis of rhamnolipid based on a simple derivatization reaction was ...

Arsenic Speciation in Biological Samples Using the Couplings HPLC-UV-HG-AAS and HPLC-UV-HG-AFS

International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, 1999
Abstract A speciation procedure for arsenobetaine (AsB), arsenite (AsIII), dimethylarsinic acid (DMA), mono-methylarsonic acid (MMA) and arsenate (Asv) based on the couplings HPLC-HG-AFS and HPLC-UV-HG-AFS has been developed and results compared with HPLC-HG-AAS and HPLC-UV-HG-AAS.
