Chitosan analysis using acid hydrolysis and HPLC/UV

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2012
Abstract In this study, a method for the characterization and quantification of chitosan was designed using acid hydrolysis, glucosamine derivatization, and high performance liquid chromatography. Based on a kinetic study of acid hydrolysis, we have demonstrated that chitosan can be quantitatively hydrolyzed into glucosamine in 6 h with either 10 M ...

Datenbanken in der HPLC / UV — Kopplung

1989

Contrary to IR spectra there are only very few or no maxima in most UV spectra. Therefore library search based on peak tables will not be successful. The use of derivatives seems insufficient for there are too less data points for numerical derivatives and in case of trace analysis the signal-to-noise ratio is too bad.

Reliability‐targeted HPLC–UV method validation—A protocol enrichment perspective

Journal of Separation Science, 2013
Method validation is important in analytical chemistry to obtain the reliability of an analytical method. Guidelines provided by the regulatory bodies can be used as a general framework to assess the validity of a method. Since these guidelines do not focus on the reliability of analytical results exclusively, this study was aimed to combine a few ...

Speciation of nickel by HPLC-UV/MS in pea nodules

Talanta, 2010
A new and sensitive methodology based on normal phase HPLC has been developed for the speciation of nickel in low-complexity plant extracts. The method combines a silica stationary phase column, a 9:1 (v/v) hexane:ethanol mixture as mobile phase, and the detection of nickel complexes by either UV or MS.

On‐line identification of the bioactive compounds from Blumea gariepina by HPLC‐UV‐MS and HPLC‐UV‐NMR, combined with HPLC‐micro‐fractionation

Phytochemical Analysis, 2005
AbstractThe dichloromethane extract of the aerial parts of Blumea gariepina (Asteraceae) was shown to be active against the phytopathogenic fungus Cladosporium cucumerinum and to inhibit acetylcholinesterase. In order rapidly to identify the active principles, the crude extract was analysed by on‐flow HPLC‐1H‐NMR. HPLC‐micro‐fractionation was performed

SPE and HPLC/UV of resin acids in colophonium‐containing products

Journal of Separation Science, 2008
AbstractA new method, involving SPE and HPLC/UV diode‐array detection (DAD), was developed for the quantification of colophonium components in different consumer products, such as cosmetics. Colophonium is a common cause of contact dermatitis since its components can oxidize into allergens on exposure to air.

Quantitation and Validation of Atorvastatin using HPLC-UV

Journal of Korean Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2007
A reversed phase HPLC analysis of atorvastatin (AS) standard solution was performed using diclofenac (DF) as internal standard. Column oven temperature, flow rate and the composition of the mobile phase were varied in order to determine a practical system setup using a C18 column and UV detector.

Six Sigma quality approach for HPLC-UV method optimization

Microchemical Journal, 2019
Abstract We report a robust HPLC-UV method for ascorbic acid (AS), paracetamol (PA) and guaifenesin (GU) based on response surface/tolerance analysis approach to meet Six Sigma quality of the performance of a chromatographic method. Our goals were the bringing specifications into the optimizations and achieving robustness during the development phase.

Analysis of phenolic compounds in chwinamul by HPLC/UV

Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology, 2013
The phenolic compounds (quercitrin, isoquercitrin, and 1,5-di-O-caffeoylquinic acid) in chwinamul were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The phenolic compounds were quantified using a reverse-phase column with an elution program of an initial solvent gradient of H2O:ACN = 75:25 for 40 min, then 50:50 for 20 min, and finally ...
