HPTLC–densitometric and HPTLC–MS methods for analysis of flavonoids

Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2018
ABSTRACTHPTLC silica gel plates without and with fluorescence indicator F254 in combination with n-hexane–ethyl acetate–formic acid (20:19:1, v/v/v) as a developing solvent were explored for the HP...

Determination of isopropylthioxanthone (ITX) in milk, yoghurt and fat by HPTLC-FLD, HPTLC-ESI/MS and HPTLC-DART/MS

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2006
Two new HPTLC methods for quantification of isopropyl-9H-thioxanthen-9-one (ITX) in milk, yoghurt and fat samples have been developed. Extraction of ITX from milk and yoghurt was performed with a mixture of cyclohexane and ethyl acetate by employment of accelerated solvent extraction (ASE).

HPTLC–MS Coupling: New Dimension of HPTLC

2010
The direct coupling of TLC/HPTLC with mass spectrometry (MS) is of particular interest because of the later’s high sensitivity, rapid analysis, and ability to aid structural characterization. The conventional ionization method requires heating of the analyte and was suitable only for the analyses of volatile and thermally stable compounds. In contrast,

Stability indicating HPTLC determination of piroxicam

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2000
A rapid and sensitive HPTLC method was developed and validated for the estimation of Piroxicam (PM). Spectrodensitometric scanning-integration was performed at an absorbance wavelength of 360 nm. To justify the suitability, accuracy and precision of the proposed method, recovery studies were performed at three concentration levels.

HPTLC fingerprint identification of commercial ginseng drugs ‐ reinvestigation of HPTLC of ginsenosides

Journal of High Resolution Chromatography, 1987
AbstractThe optimized HPTLC of ginsenosides reported in this paper shows that the recommended solvent system has a higher resolution, greater spot capacity, and better reproducibility by comparison with the established ones in the previous literature. Detection and scanning in the fluorescence mode after visualization with 5% sulfuric acid/EtOH by the ...

Determination of Citalopram in Tablets by HPLC, Densitometric HPTLC, and Videodensitometric HPTLC Methods

Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2005
Abstract Three simple, rapid, and accurate analytical methods for the determination of citalopram in tablets were developed. The high performance liquid chromatography method was carried out using Waters Nova‐Pak C18 column with a mobile phase composed of methanol–0.067 M phosphate buffer pH 2.00 (55:45, v/v), UV‐VIS detector at 239 nm, and moclobemide

Chemometrics in HPTLC

2010
From the beginning of the 1950s, paper chromatography was used to quantify samples. The paper was made transparent by liquids and transmitted light was measured according to the Lambert-Beer law. Silver-impregnated media were used as detectors, adapted from paper photography.
