Large‐scale HPV self‐sampling screening distributed 557 976 kits, resulting in 208 386 returned samples with 98% validity. HPV positivity was detected in 19% of participants, leading to clinical follow‐up. Biopsy confirmed 980 high‐grade cervical lesions and 32 cervical cancers.

Human papillomavirus‐associated adenoma of the anorectum
Aims Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted disease in the United States. HPV‐associated invasive anorectal adenocarcinoma has been previously described. In this study, we report the clinicopathological features of three HPV‐associated anorectal adenomas.

We studied the function of the E5 protein of human papillomavirus type 16 by expression in human cells and measurement of total transcription. We demonstrate here silencing of Herc5 by HPV16 E5.

Activation of Cbx7 by HPV16 E7.
E7 molecular functions, binding partners and network interactants remain incompletely defined. We studied E7 molecular function through measurement of total transcription by RNA-sequencing in HPV- C33A cells following ectopic expression of HPV16 E7. We demonstrate here activation of Cbx7 by HPV16 HPV E7.

Activation of SLC7A11 by HPV16 E7.
We demonstrate here through measurement of total transcription in cells expressing high-risk papillomavirus oncoproteins the activation of Slc7a11 by HPV16 E7.

Control of Viperin by HPV16 E5.
We used next generation sequencing to describe in an unbiased fashion molecular functions of the E5 protein of high-risk HPV16 versus that of HPV84, a lower risk type. We demonstrate here specific control of Viperin encoded by Rsad2 by type 16 HPV E5. Iqgap2 was instead a shared HPV16 and HPV84 E5 cellular target.
