Development and Validation of a Prediction Model for Acute Coronary Occlusion in Patients With Non‐ST‐Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, October 2026.
A multidimensional nomogram incorporating clinical, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic, myocardial injury, and inflammatory markers may help identify NSTEMI patients at high risk of acute coronary occlusion before angiography. ABSTRACT Background Acute coronary occlusion (ACO) occurs in approximately one‐quarter of patients with non‐ST‐segment ...

Quercetin in Myocardial Ischemia–Reperfusion Injury: Mechanistic Evidence, Cardioprotective Effects, and Translational Challenges

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 10, October 2026.
Quercetin mitigates myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury through coordinated antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and anti‐apoptotic mechanisms, leading to reduced infarct size and improved cardiac function. Its multi‐target cardioprotective effects highlight quercetin as a promising therapeutic candidate for ischemic heart disease.

Machine Learning–Based Comparative Analysis of Blood Cell–Derived Inflammatory Indices for Predicting MAFLD and Liver Fibrosis: Evidence From NHANES 2017–2020

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 20, October 2026.
This research assesses the correlations and diagnostic efficacy of blood cell‐derived inflammatory indicators in predicting metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and liver fibrosis using NHANES 2017–2020 data. AISI had the highest predictive capability for MAFLD, while PLR served as the most efficacious indicator for fibrosis ...
