Advanced Science, EarlyView.Synthetic Toll‐like receptors (TLRs) are engineered by replacing their natural sensing regions with a far‐red‐light‐responsive module from a bacterial phytochrome. These synthetic receptors enable light‐controlled regulation of immune signaling in mammalian cells.
