Top and side gated epitaxial graphene field effect transistors
Three types of first generation epitaxial graphene field effect transistors (FET) are presented and their relative merits are discussed. Graphene is epitaxially grown on both the carbon and silicon faces of hexagonal silicon carbide and patterned with ...

This study demonstrates an aluminum‐based hybrid photoresist synthesized via molecular layer deposition (MLD) using trimethylaluminum and hydroquinone. The resist achieves sub‐20 nm resolution and virtually infinite silicon etch selectivity, enabling 40 nm‐wide, micrometer‐tall nanostructures.

Optimum coding techniques for MST radars [PDF]
The optimum coding technique for MST (mesosphere stratosphere troposphere) radars is that which gives the lowest possible sidelobes in practice and can be implemented without too much computing power. Coding techniques are described in Farley (1985).

DEVELOPING AN INPATIENT PERCEIVED HEALTHCARE SERVICE QUALITY SCALE (IP-HSQS)
Quality is a high priority topic in healthcare services. After the debates on the implementation of SERVQUAL, the most widely used generic scale to determine service quality, in the healthcare industry, recent studies on service quality focus on the development of industry and culture-specific scales. The initial aim of this study is to develop a model

Directional Light Scattering In Mie‐Resonant Si Particles With Ultra‐Thin Au Shells
Si@Au core‐shell particles have been produced to study their ability to directionally scatter light. We found that the heavily reported particulate shells do not overlap the electric and magnetic dipoles well, where continuous shells have better overlap. Experimental analyses, including nanomaterial characterization, EELS and single‐particle dark‐field

Defining the Optimal FVIII Transgene for Placental Cell-Based Gene Therapy to Treat Hemophilia A
The delivery of factor VIII (FVIII) through gene and/or cellular platforms has emerged as a promising hemophilia A treatment. Herein, we investigated the suitability of human placental cells (PLCs) as delivery vehicles for FVIII and determined an optimal

Improving the Resolution and Throughput of Achromatic Talbot Lithography
High-resolution patterning of periodic structures over large areas has several applications in science and technology. One such method, based on the long-known Talbot effect observed with diffraction gratings, is achromatic Talbot lithography (ATL). This

Matrix of integrated superconducting single-photon detectors with high timing resolution
We demonstrate a large grid of individually addressable superconducting single photon detectors on a single chip. Each detector element is fully integrated into an independent waveguide circuit with custom functionality at telecom wavelengths.
