After 4 weeks of antidepressant treatment, patients with serum amyloid β oligomers showed a significantly lower treatment response compared with those without Aβ oligomers among middle‐aged and late‐life patients with major depressive disorder. ABSTRACT Aim Late‐life patients with depression are reportedly less responsive to antidepressant treatment ...

ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

Brain Age Estimation on T2‐FLAIR Scans for Application to Multiple Sclerosis
While the brain‐age paradigm has emerged as a promising biomarker of neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS), most available brain‐age prediction models are based on 3D‐T1w scans, which are not acquired in routine clinical practice. Leveraging a large multicentre collection of scans from healthy controls, we developed an accurate brain‐age ...

Abstract Background and aims Smokers quitting successfully with the help of e‐cigarettes often continue vaping. It is not known whether this promotes or prevents relapse back to smoking. This study aimed to determine whether use of e‐cigarettes after successful smoking cessation affects the probability of relapse later on.

A meta‐analysis was conducted comparing the efficacy of biologics for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) for 12–16 weeks. Based on the SUCRA, bimekizumab was ranked the most efficacious treatment compared with secukinumab and adalimumab for all assessed efficacy outcomes, positioning it as the best treatment across biologic‐naïve and ...

A statistical framework is applied to quantify the distribution of electrical resistivity among individual filaments of two commercially available carbon fiber types. Correlations between filament resistivity, tensile modulus, and diameter are examined and complemented by TEM analysis to provide new insight into filament‐level variability relevant for ...

First LiDAR Observation of Quasi‐Periodic Structures in Mid‐Latitude E‐Region Meteoric Ca+ Layers
Abstract We report the first LiDAR observations of continuous quasi‐periodic (QP) metal density structures in mid‐latitude E‐region meteoric Ca+ layers using an all‐solid‐state LiDAR system in Beijing (40.4°N, 116.0°E). These QP Ca+ structures, with periods of 2–30 min and vertical wavelengths of ∼2–15 km, were primarily observed above 100 km.
