HNF/HTPB BASED COMPOSITE PROPELLANTS
International Journal of Energetic Materials and Chemical Propulsion, 2002In a search for new storable high performance propellants for the European Space Agency (ESA), the solid oxidiser Hydrazinium Nitroformate (HNF) was identified as a very promising ingredient for a new storable composite propellant. Two distinct advantages of HNF based propellants over presently used Ammonium Perchlorate (AP) based propellants rvere the

Rheokinetic modeling of HTPB–TDI and HTPB–DOA–TDI systems
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2003AbstractA study of the effect of temperature on a mixture of polymer and curative in the processing of rocket propellants is reported. Experimental viscosity of a hydroxyl‐terminated polybutadiene–toluene diisocyanate (HTPB–TDI) system was measured using a Brookfield viscometer model DV III.

Three HTPB propellants, varying in solids loading from 88% to 91%, were selected and developed for evaluation studies including aging. The 88%-solids propellant was verified to fit a previously developed aging model. The aging model has been further successfully applied to the measured mechanical-property aging data for the higher-solids propellants ...

In this work, at first alkylferrocene derivatives were synthesized according to procedure described in the literature. (5-Chloropentanoyl)ferrocene derivatives were prepared by Friedel–Crafts acylation of ferrocene and alkylferrocene derivatives with 5-chloropentanoyl chloride in dichloromethane, and AlCl3 was used as catalyst.

Effects of HTPB with Different Molecular Weight on Mechanical Properties of HTPB/TDI System
Advanced Materials Research, 2013t is found that the molecular weight of Hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) influences curing behaviors of HTPB/2,4-toluene diisocyanate (TDI) system and the mechanical properties of PBXs. Effects of the molecular weight of HTPB on the viscose viscosity, the cure time, and mechanical properties of polymer were studied by brookfield viscometer ...
