Eutelsat HTS systems

International Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, 2016
SummaryKA‐SAT is the first of the second generation of high throughput satellite (HTS) systems. Constructed by Airbus, it was launched in 2010. It delivers over 90 Gbps capacity over 82 spots in Ka‐band over Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It represents a complete infrastructure with the ground segment complement so as to deliver a suite of ...

The Interweaving of Cheminformatics and HTS

2010
The aim of this chapter is to describe the stages of early drug discovery that can be assisted by techniques commonly used in the field of cheminformatics. In fact, cheminformatics tools can be applied all the way from the design of compound libraries and the analysis of HTS results, to the discovery of functional relationships between compounds and ...

TRANSPORT MECHANISMS IN HTS JUNCTIONS

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1998
Transport mechanisms in HTS Josephson Junctions are discussed theoretically. Two types of conductive channels are considered: geometrical constrictions and localized electronic states (LS). Temperature dependencies of excess and critical currents in ScS, SNcNS and SIS junctions are calculated in the framework of the models assuming transport via ...

Characteristics Measurements of HTS Tape with Parallel HTS Tapes

IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2006
Many high temperature superconducting (HTS) tape manufactures make an effort to reduce the transport current loss of HTS tapes. The knowledge of critical current and self-field in an HTS tape is very useful to compute the transport current losses. The spatial distribution and magnitude of self-field are variable due to the neighboring materials.

Vision of HTS applications at GE: HTS generator

Applied Superconductivity, 1994
Abstract The division of superconducting applications into HTS and LTS is artificial. Here we examine why this is so and what categorizations are more cogent. We then discuss a particular potential application, superconducting generators and outline GE's past and present work in the area, including current work on HTS generators under DOE contract.

Regulation of 5-HT Release in the CNS by Presynaptic 5-HT Autoreceptors and by 5-HT Heteroreceptors

2000
The amount of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) released from the varicosities of the serotoninergic axon terminals in response to invading action potentials at a given frequency is by no means constant. As generally accepted now, exocytotic release of 5-HT can be significantly modified by presynaptic receptors, i.e.
