Lanthionine Ketenamine Derivative Enhances Early Functional Recovery Following Skeletal Muscle Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury Through Modulation of Autophagy and Oxidative Stress

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Ischemia‐reperfusion injury (IRI) induces skeletal muscle damage through oxidative stress, impaired autophagy, and satellite cell (SC) dysfunction, ultimately compromising regenerative capacity and functional recovery. We investigated whether the naturally occurring autophagy‐stimulating compound 2‐n‐hexyl lanthionine ketenamine phosphonate (2‐

A Review of the Therapeutic Potential of Stem Cell‐Derived Nanocarriers to Treat Neurological Disorders

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 9, September 2026.
Neurological disorders (NDs) are characterized by substantial loss of specific neurons, with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases being the most frequent NDs and nearly 99% of all “foreign substances” are prohibited from entering the brain by the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and the blood‐cerebrospinal fluid barrier (CFB).

Strategies for Target Identification and Mechanism Elucidation in Phytochemicals

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 3, September 2026.
Strategies for Target Identification of Phytochemicals: Labeling Methods VS. Non‐Labeling Methods ABSTRACT Drug targets serve as the fundamental biological basis through which phytochemicals exert their therapeutic effects, and target discovery represents both the core challenge and the rate‐limiting step in elucidating the mechanisms of action of ...

Cancer Vaccine Development: Toward Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Personalized Cell Membrane Nanovaccine

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 49, 1 September 2026.
Cancer nanovaccines have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional cancer vaccines, which have shown limited clinical efficacy. In particular, cell membrane nanoparticle‐based nanovaccines can offer high biocompatibility and immunogenicity while preserving tumor antigens, including antigen repertoires.

Human‐Caused Leopard Deaths in Sri Lanka Are Concentrated in Central Highlands' Estate Mosaics: Evidence From 17 Years of Mortality Records 人为因素导致斯里兰卡豹死亡事件集中于中部高地种植园镶嵌景观:来自 17 年死亡记录的证据

open access: yesWildlife Letters, Volume 4, Issue 3, Page 107-117, September 2026.
Human‐caused leopard deaths in Sri Lanka averaged 9.65 ± 4.5 records year−1 over 17 years (2008–2024; n = 164), with records highly clustered in the central highland mosaic ecosystem. Mortality was dominated by adult males and driven primarily by snaring in plantation landscapes, and indicating an increase approximately 0.7–0.8 deaths per year.
