Effect of heating and bending on localized critical current in 2G HTS tapes with non-contact trapped field measurements

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Current-voltage measurement (I–V curve) is a typical method to identify the critical current (Ic) of second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes (2G HTS tapes).

A Simplified Model of Coaxial, Multilayer High-Temperature Superconducting Power Cables with Cu Formers for Transient Studies

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Bypassing transient current through copper (Cu) stabilizer layers reduces heat generation and temperature rise of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) conductors, which could protect HTS cables from burning out during transient conditions. The Cu layer

3D modeling and measurement of HTS tape stacks in linear superconducting magnetic bearings

open access: yesSuperconductors Science and Technology
Superconducting magnetic bearings (SMBs) are among the possible new technologies to be incorporated in maglev vehicles. Stacks of high-temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes can be used as an alternative to bulks, because stacks offer better mechanical ...

Influence of HTS tape arrangement on the transverse compression performance of copper former CORC cables

open access: yesSuperconductors Science and Technology
CORC cables are subject to large transverse compression electromagnetic forces in fusion projects. Unfortunately, the electromagnetic force exceeding its critical transverse compression load will cause an irreversible decrease in its critical current ...

HTS Accelerator Magnet and Conductor Development in Europe

open access: yesInstruments, 2021
In view of the preparation for a post-LHC collider, in 2010 the high-energy physics (HEP) community started to discuss various options, including the use of HTS for very high-field dipoles.

Biomimetic Vascular Scaffold with Seamless Electrospun Aligned Nanofiber Conduit and 3D‐Printed Coil Reinforcement

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a new fabrication method that overcomes the current limitation of tubular gap electrospinning. We successfully fabricated a seamless hollow tube with fibers aligned along the longitudinal axis in diameters as small as 300 µm, and then reinforced it using 4‐axis 3D printing.

Solenoid from Experimental HTS tape for Magnetic Refrigeration

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology Review, 2019
The project of superconducting magnetic system (SMS) for the magnetic refrigerator machine is proposed. The second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes for SMS are developed, fabricated and tested in NRC Kurchatov Institute. The magnet consists of 12 non-insulated double pancake coils.

Guidelines for High‐Throughput Screening for Natural Products With Anti‐Aging Activity Based on Drosophila Intestinal Homeostasis

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aging represents a critical risk factor for chronic diseases, driving an urgent demand for interventions promoting healthy longevity. This study establishes standardized guidelines for high‐throughput screening (HTS) of anti‐aging natural products using Drosophila melanogaster, leveraging its intestinal homeostasis as a biomarker.
