HTTP-CCN gateway: Adapting HTTP protocol to Content Centric Network

2013 21st IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP), 2013
CCN is one of the future Internet architecture. However, the lack of real traffic becomes an obstacle to advanced CCN researches. HTTP, as an content-oriented application-layer protocol working over current Internet, is similar to CCN in many aspects. In this demo, we try to convert HTTP traffic into CCN traffic with HTTP-CCN gateway.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)

1999
Basically, the World Wide Web is a distributed hypermedia system, with information stored in the form of web pages, which are linked to each other using web links (better known by their official names URI or URL). This property of the web makes it necessary to have a means of accessing remote information from any system retrieving information from the ...

A Semantic Web Resource Protocol: XPointer and HTTP

2004
Semantic Web resources -that is, knowledge representation formalisms existing in a distributed hypermedia system - require different addressing and processing models and capacities than the typical kinds of World Wide Web resources. We describe an approach to building a Semantic Web resource protocol - a scalable, extensible logical addressing scheme ...

CATP: a context-aware transportation protocol for HTTP

23rd International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems Workshops, 2003. Proceedings., 2004
The rendering mechanism used in Web browsers have a significant impact on the user behavior and delay tolerance of retrieval. The head-of-line blocking phenomena prevents the browser to render partial results within the HTTP document. This phenomena stems from two factors: TCP's in-order data uploading to the browsers and HTML tag matching constraint ...

Using HTTP as Field Network Transfer Protocol

2011
Increasing popularity of Ethernet-based field networks is an opportunity to integrate heterogeneous automation devices and systems. To achieve this goal, a universally adopted open communication protocol is required. In general computing, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) performs that role. In this paper, the HTTP is evaluated as a core data transfer

HTTP-CoAP cross protocol proxy: an implementation viewpoint

2012 IEEE 9th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS 2012), 2012
In recent years there has been growing interest for the vision of a so-called Web of Things, which pursues the access to a wide variety of everyday objects through a regular web browser. We believe that this vision is right now at a key moment in its realization, analogous to the '90 for the World Wide Web.

Zustelldienst im Web — HTTP: Hypertext Transfer Protocol

2004
