Huanglongbing Control: Perhaps the End of the Beginning

Microbial Ecology, 2017
Huanglongbing (HLB) is one of the most destructive citrus plant diseases worldwide. It is associated with the fastidious phloem-limited α-proteobacteria 'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus', 'Ca. Liberibacter africanus' and 'Ca. Liberibacter americanus'. In recent years, HLB-associated Liberibacters have extended to North and South America.

Detection of Huanglongbing Disease Using Differential Mobility Spectrometry

Analytical Chemistry, 2014
The viability of the multibillion dollar global citrus industry is threatened by the "green menace", citrus greening disease (Huanglongbing, HLB), caused by the bacterial pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter. The long asymptomatic stage of HLB makes it challenging to detect emerging regional infections early to limit disease spread.

Spectral Characteristics of Citrus Greening (Huanglongbing)

2007 Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 17-20, 2007, 2007
Huanglongbing (HLB), also known as citrus greening is one of the most destructive disease in citrus due to the non-specific nature of disease symptoms and absence of a reliable early detection method, this disease can not identified in trees effectively in the grove. Hyperspectral imaging may have the potential to detect HLB-in at earlier early stages.
