A systems approach to a spatio-temporal understanding of the drought stress response in maize

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Crops are often subjected to periods of drought stress during their life cycle. However, how stress response mechanisms contribute to the crosstalk between stress signaling pathways and developmental signaling pathways is still unknown.

Hydro-Oceano & Sedimentation Model of Brondong Lamongan Harbour [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
PPN Brondong in East Java is a vital fisheries hub, catching around 200 tonnes of fish in a day and serving as an export hub. To maintain port efficiency and properly manage vessel activities, hydro-oceanographic modelling is important.

Selective Separation of the Rare Earth Elements Dysprosium and Neodymium via Tailoring Nanocellulose Chemical Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dicarboxylate‐modified anionic hairy cellulose nanocrystals exhibit a high selectivity for dysprosium(III) over neodymium(III). This selectivity arises from disordered dicarboxylate cellulose “hairs” that enable cooperative ionic coordination, hydrogen bonding, and strain‐induced conformational shrinkage.

Hub covering location problems with different coverage types

open access: yesScientia Iranica, 2011
AbstractThe hub location problem is used for many applications, including cargo delivery systems, airline systems, telecommunication network design and so on. Each area has its own characteristics in hub location. In this paper, we study the hub covering problem with different coverage type over complete hub networks.

The stratified p-hub center and p-hub maximal covering problems

open access: yes, 2022
Hub networks are the foundation of many transportation and distribution systems, and real-world hub networks often transport freight or passengers of different service classes. This paper introduces the stratified multiple allocation p-hub center and p-hub maximal covering problems where the traffic corresponding to each origin–destination (O/D) pair ...

Balancing Electrons to Break the Activity‐Selectivity Trade‐Off in H2O2 Electrosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Carrier‐concentration balancing in CuS is achieved by coupling cobalt dopants with cobalt vacancies, converting CuS from p‐ to n‐type to accelerate 2e− ORR while withdrawing excess carriers to optimize *OOH binding for H2O2 desorption. The catalyst reaches 8.14 mol g−1 h−1 with >84% selectivity in 1.0 M KOH and drives robust electro‐Fenton dye ...

The -coverage multiple allocation hub covering problem with mandatory dispersion

open access: yesScientia Iranica, 2012
AbstractThis paper addresses the multiple allocation hub set-covering problem considering backup coverage and mandatory dispersion of hubs. In the context of this paper, it has been assumed that a flow is covered if there are at least Q possible routes to satisfy its demand within a time bound.
