Optical signatures of quantum delocalization over extended domains in photosynthetic membranes

open access: yes, 2015
The prospect of coherent dynamics and excitonic delocalization across several light-harvesting structures in photosynthetic membranes is of considerable interest, but challenging to explore experimentally.

STRATEGIES AND TACTICS IN PLATFORM URBANISM: Contested Spatial Production through Quick Delivery Platforms in Berlin and Barcelona

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Volume 48, Issue 5, Page 833-854, September 2024.
Abstract Amid the Covid‐19 pandemic, the food and grocery delivery sector became a multibillion‐dollar industry, making riders with squared backpacks visible in our urban landscapes. We explore the role of quick delivery platforms in spatial production—and especially the strategies platforms employed and the tactics of platform workers in relation to ...

El minero de Monclova. Una entrevista [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
"Usted me pregunta que si yo participé en la huelga del cincuenta. ¡Claro que lo hice! No hubo un sólo minero que no participara. Entonces éramos más luchadores.

Phages produce persisters

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 17, Issue 8, August 2024.
Bacterial infections are predicted to be the main cause of death by 2050, and persister cells often form during periods of lethal stress. Here, we show phage infections generate persister cells, and these persisters may undermine phage therapy. Abstract Arguably, the greatest threat to bacteria is phages.

Controlled and combined remote implementations of partially unknown quantum operations of multiqubits using GHZ states

open access: yes, 2005
We propose and prove protocols of controlled and combined remote implementations of partially unknown quantum operations belonging to the restricted sets [An Min Wang: PRA, \textbf{74}, 032317(2006)] using GHZ states. We detailedly describe the protocols

Realistic and verifiable coherent control of excitonic states in a light harvesting complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We explore the feasibility of coherent control of excitonic dynamics in light harvesting complexes, analyzing the limits imposed by the open nature of these quantum systems.

Photonic Non‐Markovianity Identification by Quantum Process Capabilities of Non‐CP Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2024.
A method based on non‐CP processes, which are new quantum process capabilities, is introduced to identify and measure non‐Markovianity without the burden of state optimization and entanglement. It is faithfully demonstrated that the method can be explicitly implemented using all‐optical setups.
