A new human adenovirus of subgenus D: Candidate adenovirus type 42
Archives of Virology, 1987A new serotype, candidate adenovirus type 42, a member of subgenus D, was isolated from the feces of a healthy child. It shared its hemagglutinin with adenovirus type 15, but had no relationship in neutralization to other human adenoviruses. It also had a distinct DNA restriction pattern.

A human serum inhibitor of adenovirus haemagglutination
Archiv fr die gesamte Virusforschung, 1968In this paper evidence is presented to show that the non-specific inhibitor of adenovirus type 5 haemagglutination is associated with a very labile, low molecular weight α1-globulin. This inhibitor flocculates the whole particle and a mixture of its soluble antigens.

Adenovirus vectors for human gene therapy
2000Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the structure and biology of adenovirus (Ad) and its exploitation to create a high-level expression vector with use in human gene therapy as one of its most exciting applications. Some of the problems associated with Ad gene therapy, including the host-immune response to Ad, and some potential solutions to ...
