Measuring growth of labour quality and the quality-adjusted unemployment rate in Switzerland [PDF]

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Two macromolecular resistance‐reversal agents (MRRAs)—linear (MRRAL) and nanostructured (MRRAN) polymers were fabricated by integrating DOTA motifs into tunable polycationic scaffolds. MRRAs exhibit superior antibacterial potency once combined with meropenem (MEM) through (i) bacterial membrane disruption via localized cationic charge and ...

Maximizing Human Development [PDF]
The Human Development Index (HDI) is widely used as an aggregate measure of overall human well being. We examine the allocations implied by the maximization of this index, using a standard growth model — an extended version of Mankiw, Romer, andWeil’s ...

Endothelial GPR68 is identified as a critical regulator of collateral artery growth in peripheral artery disease. Genetic and pharmacological evidence demonstrates that GPR68 integrates hemodynamic cues to drive monocyte recruitment and inflammatory remodeling, thereby promoting collateral arteriogenesis and tissue perfusion after ischemia ...

MVP Inhibits Influenza A Virus‐Induced Ferroptosis by Targeting IRF1 and Increasing FSP1 Activity
During IAV infection, MVP inhibits IRF1 polyubiquitination, thereby relieving IRF1‐mediated transcriptional inhibition of FSP1. Consequently, this leads to an upregulation of FSP1 expression, thereby reinforcing the inhibition of ferroptosis. In addition, the MVP can promote myristoylation and ubiquitination of FSP1, enabling its membrane localization ...

Additively decomposable segregation indexes. The case of gender segregation by occupations and human capital levels in Spain [PDF]
Building upon the ideas first exposed by Theil and Finizza (1971) and Fuchs (1975), this paper presents an additively decomposable segregation index based on the entropy concept used in information theory.
