A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

Conformational Transduction Amplification in a Biomimetic Polyelectrolyte for Ultrasensitive Imaging of Iron Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work designs a peptide‐free polyelectrolyte with stable, switchable conformations and near‐infrared fluorescence in water. It harnesses a cooperative Fe3+‐triggered sheet‐to‐helix transition to generate nonlinear fluorescence quenching, enabling the ultrasensitive, real‐time visualization of Fe3+ ion distribution and metabolic trafficking at ...

Pericentrosomal Redistribution of the Endoplasmic Reticulum Ensures Organelle Symmetric Inheritance and Mitotic Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon mitotic entry, RTN4 relocalizes to the pericentrosomal region, forming a more tubular ER network around centrosomes. CDK1‐mediated phosphorylation of RTN4 increases its interaction with Rab11 GTPase, facilitating dynein‐dependent transport of RTN4 to the pericentrosomal region.

Retinomorphic Visual Processing Enabled by Contact‐Engineered IGZO Optoelectronic Synaptic Memtransistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we present an optoelectronic synaptic memtransistor (OSMT) integrating photoresponsive IGZO with contact‐engineered HfO2, enabling electrically and optically tunable synaptic weights. The device demonstrates broad range of tunable conductance states and array‐level image processing, highlighting its potential for intelligent machine vision ...

Social Status, Human Capital Formation and the Long-run Effects of Money

open access: yes
This study examines the effects of monetary policy in a two-sector cash-in-advance economy of human capital accumulation. Agents concern about their social status represented by the relative physical capital and relative human capital.

Public and Private Inputs in Aggregate Production and Growth: A Cross-country Efficiency Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
In a cross section of OECD countries we replace the macroeconomic production function by a production possibility frontier, TFP being the composite effect of efficiency scores and possibility frontier changes.

CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

The Human Capital and Research Index at a global level

open access: yes
The "Human Capital and Research Index" is a measure that reflects the quality and level of humanresources and research activities in a specific context, such as a country, region, or organization. Thisindex takes into account factors related to education, training, knowledge, and innovation, which areessential for supporting economic growth and social ...
