Epigenetic Silencing of RFX7 Defines a Transcriptional Axis Linking Lactate Metabolism to Immune Checkpoint Therapy in Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits RFX7 silencing via promoter hypermethylation, which downregulates PIK3IP1 to activate PI3K/AKT signaling, increase lactate accumulation, and enhance histone H4K12 lactylation. This lactylation upregulates PD‐L1/CSF1 expression and drives the immunosuppressive microenvironment formation.

Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Cells Utilize IL8 and CXCL1 to Suppress NK Cells’ Function and Facilitate Cancer Metastasis

Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells evade natural killer (NK) cell immunity by secreting IL8 and CXCL1. These chemokines suppress NK cells’ function via CXCR1/2 and enhance cancer cells’ survival through PD‐L1 upregulation and BCL‐2 anti‐apoptotic signaling.

Neurotropism of Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Three major characteristics of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection define HIV as neurotropic. 1) Clinically, distinct neurological syndromes are associated with HIV infection and 2) presence of the virus as well as 3) pathological changes can be demonstrated in the central nervous system. Spread of HIV to the brain seems to be the general rule.
