Human leukocyte antigen in hydatidiform mole
International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 1993AbstractOBJECTIVE: To find any possible association between human leukocyte antigen (HLA) as a genetic marker and the development of hydatidiform mole (HM). METHOD: The lymphocyte microtoxicity technique was used to study the HLA antigens in 3 groups: 18 women with hydatidiform mole and their husbands (study group), 300 normal women (first control ...

Transplants across human leukocyte antigen barriers
Seminars in Hematology, 2002Clinical experience with full haplotype-mismatched stem cell transplants has a 20-year history. Early results in leukemia patients were disappointing because of a high incidence of severe graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in T-replete transplants or high rejection rates in T-cell-depleted transplants.

Human leukocyte antigen-DP in leukemia
Cancer, 1988Human leukocyte antigen-DP (HLA-DP) typing was performed on patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML, n = 44), acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia (ANLL, n = 34), or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL, n = 41). Frequencies of DPw alleles in CML and ANLL patients were not significantly different from 254 controls, except that in ANNL DPw1 was absent ...

Characterization of human leukocyte differentiation antigens
Immunology Today, 1987What would impel 190 different laboratories to work together in the performance of more than 150 000 assays to characterize about 800 antibodies? Participants in the 3rd International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens generally shared the conviction that such cooperative effort has the potential to bring order out of the chaos of ...

Human Leukocyte Antigens in Bell's Palsy
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1988Ninety-three patients with Bell's palsy including 12 members of two families with familial Bell's palsy were typed for human leukocyte antigens (HLAs). Significant association between HLAs and Bell's palsy was found. The association of certain HLAs with the palsy may predict the specific clinical course and prognosis.

[Human leukocyte differentiation antigens].
Presse medicale (Paris, France : 1983), 1984Over a small number of years many monoclonal antibodies directed against leucocytes have been produced. Their multiplicity and the various nomenclatures utilized may be disconcerting. As a result of the First International Workshop on Human Leucocyte Differentiation Antigens (Paris, 1982), a very clear correspondence between these different antibodies ...

A Study of Antigens of Human Leukocytes
Vox Sanguinis, 1958SummaryThe antigenic structure of human leukocytes has been studied by means of humans leukocyte agglutinins. It has been confirmed that leukocytes contain antigens which are not present in erythrocytes and that at least four antigens are distributed among normal leukocytes.
