Osmotic Tension Asymmetry Drives Electrotactic Migration via PDLIM7‐Polarized Microfilament Coordination in Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes an electric field‐induced directional migration model using fluorescence tension probes to visualize microfilament forces and intracellular osmotic pressure dynamics in the electrotactic migration of breast cancer cells. This model delineates how electromechanical interactions among membrane potential, ion channels, OP, traction ...

Halorotetin B, A Novel Terpenoid Compound Derived from Marine Ascidian, Suppresses Tumor Growth by Targeting the Cell Cycle Regulator UBE2C

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Halorotetin B, a novel small‐molecule terpenoid identified from an edible marine ascidian, exhibits strong anti‐tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo through direct targeting UBE2C to induce tumor cell cycle arrest and then lead tumor cell senescence. As a newly discovered UBE2C inhibitor, Halorotetin B can serve as a novel potential cell senescence

SLPI⁺ AT2‐Like Cells Orchestrate Lung Adenocarcinoma Invasion via Wnt Pathway Activation and Stromal Crosstalk in a Spatially Defined Margin Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrating spatial transcriptomics and single‐cell RNA sequencing, this study identifies a novel subpopulation of SLPI⁺ AT2‐like cells at the invasive margin of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). These cells, through stromal crosstalk and Wnt pathway activation, promote tumor stemness and invasion.

Vegan/vegetarian diet and human milk donation: An EMBA survey across European milk banks

open access: yesMaternal and Child Nutrition
The nutritional adequacy of human milk (HM) from vegan/vegetarian mothers has been a matter of debate, and a variety of recommendations regarding the eligibility of these mothers as human milk donors exists.

Relationships Among Beef Cow Productivity Traits and Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in the Bovine Heat Shock Protein 70 Gene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
When eukaryotes are exposed to stressors such as heat, toxins, and low oxygen levels, heat shock proteins (HSPs) are synthesized to maintain normal cellular function within the body.

Alphaviral Capsid Proteins Inhibit Stress Granule Assembly via Competitive RNA Binding With G3BP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stress granules exert antiviral functions. This study illustrates a conserved function of alphaviral capsid proteins in modulating stress granules. Oligomerization mediated by a helical motif coupled with a positively charged intrinsically disordered region (IDR) directly competes with G3BP1 for RNA binding, thereby disrupting G3BP1‐RNA liquid–liquid ...

Camel economy: from local to international market [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The camel productions are involved in local, regional or international economy. If the market of live animals, linked mainly to the meat market, is well developed in the Horn of Africa and Middle-east, the milk market knows a recent development in spite ...

Gabpα‐Pparγ Complex Determines Glycolytic Capacity and Lactic Acid Homeostasis in Brown Fat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the Gabpα–Pparγ complex as a key transcriptional regulator that couples glycolysis to lactate‐driven thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue by directly activating Eno1 transcription. ‌Competitive disruption of this interaction impairs lactate metabolism and thermogenic capacity.

Human Milk Banking In Nepal: An Initiative To Strengthen Newborn Nutrition

open access: yesJournal of Nepal Medical Association
To address the gap of suboptimal breastfeeding practices and limited access to human milk and its challenges to neonatal health outcomes, the country’s first Human Milk Bank, “Amrit Kosh,” was established at Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital ...
