Human pose estimation based on human limbs
2016 23rd International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), 2016Modeling the relationship among human joints is one of the most important components in human pose estimation. Previous methods usually define this relationship as geometric constraints on the relative location of two neighboring joints. In this definition, the local image appearance of the region connecting two neighboring joints is ignored.

Posebits for Monocular Human Pose Estimation
2014 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2014We advocate the inference of qualitative information about 3D human pose, called posebits, from images. Posebits represent boolean geometric relationships between body parts (e.g., left-leg in front of right-leg or hands close to each other). The advantages of posebits as a mid-level representation are 1) for many tasks of interest, such qualitative ...

Human Body Pose Estimation with PSO
2006 IEEE International Conference on Evolutionary Computation, 2006In this paper we describe the application of Particle Swarm Optimisation to the problem of human body pose estimation from multiple view video sequences. We use a subdivision body model with an underlying skeleton layer to estimate and illustrate the body pose.

A deep structure for human pose estimation
Signal Processing, 2015Articulated human pose estimation in unconstrained conditions is a great challenge. We propose a deep structure that represents a human body in different granularity from coarse-to-fine for better detecting parts and describing spatial constrains between different parts.

Pose Estimation of Complex Human Motion
Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Video and Image Processing, 2019In this paper, a human body pose estimation method based on skeleton matching is proposed. In the process of human body pose skeleton matching, we obtain the key point feature information of the human body by performing CNN operation on the input image: the joint point heat map, and the joint point according to the specific connection rules are ...

Modelling and estimating the pose of a human arm
Machine Vision and Applications, 2003Pose estimation of 3-D objects based on monocular computer vision is an ill-posed problem. To ease matters a model-based approach can be applied. Such an approach usually relies on iterating when matching the model and the image data. In this paper we estimate the 3-D pose of a human arm from a monocular image.

The aim of human pose estimation is to detect and estimate the configuration of the articulation structure of a person. Human pose estimation has become a popular research topic including a wide range of approaches. Marker-based approaches, for example, are one of the most precise methods, but they need special markers attached to the human body.
