As the incidence of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) rises, prenatal exposure to agricultural pesticides may represent an important risk factor. Here, geographic information system‐based measures of farmland proximity at birth were used as a proxy for early‐life pesticide exposure in France, a major pesticide consumer.

Abstract Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a widely used first‐line fertility treatment, yet its success rates vary considerably. This review synthesizes evidence from peer‐reviewed studies published between 2000 and 2024, including randomized controlled trials, cohort and case–control studies, as well as systematic and narrative reviews identified ...

Abstract Background Poor ovarian response (POR) complicates a substantial proportion of in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles, frequently causing cycle cancellation and suboptimal reproductive outcomes. Conventional follicular‐phase ovarian stimulation (FPOS) protocols often yield limited results, prompting the evaluation of alternative strategies such ...

Sperm storage causes sperm senescence in human and non-human animals
Abstract In animals, mature sperm are stored in males before ejaculation and sometimes in females before fertilization. Sperm storage provides evolutionary advantages; however, storage can also cause sperm deterioration owing to post-meiotic sperm senescence (PMSS).

Lactation, Childrearing, and Gender Justice
ABSTRACT In this article, I discuss the significance of early infant feeding choices for the goal of gender justice. Focusing on human lactation practices, I identify Exclusive Gestational Nursing (EGN) as the norm in advanced industrial societies, which creates the expectation and permission for gestators, and only gestators, to nurse children, and ...

Behavioural responses can reveal important fitness trade-offs and ecological traps in evolutionarily novel contexts created by anthropogenic stimuli, and are of increasing conservation concern due to possible links to population-level impacts.

ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that paternal environmental factors have epigenetic effects on sperm and influence offspring. Neonicotinoid pesticides (NNs), which are widely used around the world, are known to affect offspring phenotypes through maternal exposure in mice, but the effect of the paternal exposure remains unknown.

The Effects of Different Cryoprotectants on Stallion Epididymal Spermatozoa
Any event that makes semen collection or mating impossible, such as death, castration, or injury, may terminate a stallion’s breeding career. Fortunately, stallion sperm which are capable of fertilization can be harvested from a region adjacent to the ...
