Associations Between Sedentary Behaviour and Fine and Gross Motor Skills in 3- to 4-Year-Olds: A Secondary Data Analysis From Sunrise International Study Pilot Studies. [PDF]

open access: yesChild Care Health Dev
ABSTRACT Background The evidence on associations between sedentary behaviour (SB) and motor skills in 3‐ to 4‐year‐olds is unclear and mostly from high‐income countries. Objective The objective of this study is to examine associations between (1) screen time (h/day) and total daily SB (h/day), and gross and fine motor skills, and (2) meeting the ...

Projections of Atmospheric Moisture Transport Over South America in a Changing Climate

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 46, Issue 2, February 2026.
End‐of‐century (2071–2100) climate projections show significant contrasts in atmospheric moisture over South America, with increased divergence over Northern Chile and Eastern Brazil and stronger convergence over the La Plata and Magdalena basins. Moisture convergence raises risks of extreme rainfall and floods, while divergence intensifies droughts ...

Enhanced Electroactivity for Overall Water Splitting and Oxygen Potential of Pt/Carbon Nanotubes Functionalized with Cu Organometallic Complex

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
Functionalizing carbon nanotubes (CNT) with the mesitylcopper (Cu‐mes) complex modifies the surface of CNT, developing Cu‐Pt alloys and Cu‐species. The result is a modified Pt electronic structure that promotes the catalytic activity of the 5 wt% Pt/CNTCu‐mes nanocatalyst for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions, and oxygen reduction reaction.
