The First Archaeomagnetic Age at Tiwanaku and Implications for Dating Andean Metallurgical Furnaces

We compared the geomagnetic field values recorded by a metallurgical furnace against an updated SHAWQ2k‐SH global model and a regional intensity curve, both of which include, for the first time, high‐quality intensity data from the Southern Hemisphere. Geographic risks to functional groups of mammals and birds from habitat loss in Mexico
Abstract There is a need to quantify the impact of habitat loss due to anthropogenic factors on different aspects of biodiversity, such as functional trait diversity represented by functional groups (FGs). We developed a metric to assess the weighted risk of loss of habitat for 33 FGs of mammals and 36 FGs of birds in Mexico based on potential ...

What Goes First? Effects of Starvation on the Body Condition of a Neotropical Dung Beetle
We investigated how prolonged starvation affects key physiological traits in the dung beetle Dichotomius bos. Prolonged starvation leads to significant reductions in body dry mass and fat reserves, while muscle mass remains unchanged. These findings indicate that dung beetles prioritize the maintenance of locomotor muscles while mobilizing stored ...
