Glass samples from the Rio de Janeiro Cathedral (Brazil) were evaluated to characterize their mechanical and chemical stability. ABSTRACT The Cathedral of São Sebastião in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) contains a series of concrete stained‐glass windows made using the dalle de verre technique, which have undergone a natural degradation process.
