Interlaboratory performance testing on EPIC v2.0 CNS tumor profiling demonstrates high reproducibility of tumor classification but reveals the need for harmonized copy number variation reporting
Brain Pathology, EarlyView.Using the Infinium MethylationEPIC v2.0 array and Heidelberg Brain Tumor Classifier v12.8, 24 international laboratories achieved highly reproducible CNS tumor classification (97.9% correct; median β‐correlation r = 0.99), while copy number variation interpretation showed substantial interlaboratory variability, highlighting the need for harmonized CNV Katrin Mauch‐Mücke, Christin Siewert, Lora Dimitrova, Sandra Pohl, Brendan Osberg, Annika K. British Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.Cancer is frequently accompanied by cachexia, a systemic syndrome characterized by progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass, with or without loss of fat mass. Increasing evidence indicates that cancer can also induce cardiac muscle wasting, which is associated with structural cardiac remodelling, impaired contractile function and the development of ...Alessia Lena, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, Ulrich Keller, Lars Bullinger, Dominik P. Clinical &Experimental Allergy, Volume 55, Issue 3, Page 226-238, March 2025.In a study assessing mobile health data, (i) adherence to rhinitis medication was highest for oral antihistamines and lowest for azelastine‐fluticasone, (ii) in weeks of partial adherence, azelastine‐fluticasone was associated with lower levels of reported rhinitis symptoms than other medication classes.Bernardo Sousa‐Pinto, Elísio M.
