Humic Substances Potential Use
There are studies that demonstrate several benefits of humic substances in agriculture. Based on this, this mini review aimed to present the main effects of the use of humic substances on the soil and the plant. For this, bibliographical references were used with an approach to humic substances on a world scale.

The Effect of Natural Dissolved Organic Carbon on the Acute Toxicity of Copper to Larval Freshwater Mussels (\u3cem\u3eGlochidia\u3c/em\u3e) [PDF]
The present study examined the effect of dissolved organic carbon (DOC), both added and inherent, on Cu toxicity in glochidia, the larvae of freshwater mussels.

A cobalt (Co)‐SACs consisting of single‐atom Co anchored on a nitrogen‐doped hollow porous carbon sphere (Co1/N‐HCS) is fabricated for electrocatalytic hydrodechlorination of dilute antibiotics. The hollow porous architecture of N‐HCS concentrates the antibiotics, while its curved surface promotes proton transfer at the Co1 site via localized electric ...

Precise modulation of Fe–N4 site distances constructs spin‐regulated Fe–N4 twins, triggering a volcano‐type Fenton‐like activity and promoting oriented singlet oxygen generation. The twin‐site catalyst enables highly selective and efficient hospital wastewater purification with simultaneous pharmaceutical degradation and disinfection under low ...

A simple method for quantifying the humic content of commercial products [PDF]
A method based on an analytical technique, initially developed for quantifying aquatic refractory organic matter (often called humics), has been applied to commercial samples claiming to contain humic-type substances.

Quantifying measures to limit wind driven resuspension of sediments for improvement of the ecological quality in some shallow Dutch lakes [PDF]
Although phosphorus loadings are considered the main pressure for most shallow lakes, wind-driven resuspension can cause additional problems for these aquatic ecosystems. We quantified the potential effectiveness of measures to reduce the contribution of

Scalable Upcycling of Spent Lithium‐Ion Battery Anodic Graphite to Electronic‐Grade Graphene
Graphite anodes from spent lithium‐ion batteries are upcycled into electronic‐grade graphene nanoplatelets for highly conductive screen printing inks (> 104 S m−1). Screen‐printed micro‐supercapacitors confirm the utility of the upcycled graphene (1.78 mF/cm2 capacitance for > 10 000 cycles). Life cycle assessment and techno‐economic analysis highlight

Long-Term Effect of Soil Use and Management on Organic Carbon and Aggregate Stability
: The conversion of native grassland into farmland causes changes in the soil. Tillage has profound effects on soil organic matter. The intensification of soil tillage decreases soil quality by reducing aggregate stability.
