Lung Transplantation for Chronic Humidifier Disinfectant-Associated Lung Injury [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Critical Care Medicine, 2016
In the spring of 2011, a cluster of lung injuries caused by humidifier disinfectant (HD) usage were reported in Korea. Many patients required mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and even lung transplantation (LTPL).

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy for Investigation of Different Losses in 4-cells Short Stack with Integrated Humidifier and Water Separator [PDF]

open access: yesHydrogen, Fuel Cell & Energy Storage, 2016
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a suitable and powerful diagnostic testing method for fuel cells (FCs) since it is non-destructive and provides useful information about FC performance and its components. In this study, for the first time,

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
