An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Performance assessment of packed bed systems for humidity control in greenhouse applications: An experimental based AI modelling approach

open access: yesGreen Energy and Sustainability
Optimal humidity control is essential for enhancing crop yields and ensuring favourable growth conditions in greenhouse agriculture. Packed bed devices are effective tools for regulating humidity levels; however, accurately assessing their performance ...

HUMIDITY CONTROL IN RESIDENCES

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Public Health, 1925
IN A LARGE portion of this country the severity of the winter makes cen, tral heating units an economic necessity. The average householder must give some attention to temperature control in his residence, but he pavs little heed to the control of moisture in the air. He may be aware that cold, moderately dry, outdoor air means excessively dry air within

Humidity control for the 2LabsToGo-Eco

open access: yesAnalytica Chimica Acta
The sustainability of the miniaturized open-source 2LabsToGo-Eco is unbeaten, given the high degree of dematerialization and low consumption of resources. However, the relative humidity of the environment can have a great influence on the normal phase separation at ambient conditions. As climatized analytical laboratories are normally not given and the

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Study on preparation and humidity-control performance of organobentonite/sodium polyacrylate composite material

open access: yesScience and Engineering of Composite Materials, 2015
In this work, organobentonite/sodium polyacrylate (OBT/PAAS) humidity-control composite material was prepared using intercalation polymerization. The humidity-control performance of this composite material was tested by desiccator method.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
