Optimization of Setting Angle Distribution to Suppress Hump Characteristic in Pump Turbine
Pump turbines play a quite important role of peak-valley shifting in the grid, and the hump margin is a critical criterion related to the safety and stability of operation in pump mode. Aiming at investigating the influence of runner outlet setting angle

Using the Autospreaders as a Cutting Guide for Component Hump Reduction in Rhinoplasty
Dorsal preservation techniques as a means of addressing the dorsal hump have been popularized recently to avoid midvault disruption or dorsal resection. The pitfall of these techniques is the higher rate of dorsal hump recurrence of up to 15%. We present

AbstractIn this paper, I suggest a novel explanation for a hump-shaped age-consumption profile, based on human aging. The model integrates health in the utility function and utilizes recent estimates of the effects of health on the marginal utility of consumption. The parsimonious model has a closed-form solution for the age of peak consumption and the

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...
